This is very similar to a case that was featured in the podcast “Over My Dead Body” which is about the murder of Dan Markel, a law professor at tthe Florida State University.

I think the best part about the book is the fact that you have no idea what is going on.

But there is a lot more explanation about the trials of being a single mother and the guilt that can be felt for not being there for the children as they grow up.

This one read way faster for me then the other books. I was enraptured by the possibility of wedding in this book however I know that there has to be another book coming out. This book would be a great ending to this series as well, but there is so much I want to know.

As the series progresses, it makes me have impressions of Grace and Jerry. Laurie refers to these employees of hers as family but we know less about them than we do Ramon, Alex’s butler.

The character development of Leo, Laurie’s father is great. He is coming into his own. Even though he is simply a sidekick, it is nice to his own romance. I am appreciating the growing up of Timmy. Although his name makes him seem younger than he is.

Also Laurie needs to get some self-defense classes or something because she keeps getting kidnapped and shot at. The fact that she is still fundamentally helpless after 6 books is just sad.

All in all, still a solid read. This case was interesting, possibly more interesting than any other in the series.

Suspenseful as always!

Mary Higgins Clark never disappoints! The continuation of the Under Suspicion series is a hit and moves in a different pattern than previous books. It still captured interest and kept me reading. Looking forward to another installment in this series! Please! :)

Silly and easy read for my tired brain. Predictable but the pages go fast!

It's like Laurie doesn't even care she is making a TV show anymore.

It’s a fast read and I like how female characters are written. Not a too over the top “I can do it all” unrealistic attitude but a strong female lead indeed. It’s a good ol’ high society crime novel that makes for an entertaining read!

This was fine! It’s like watching CBS. So soothing for a book about murder. Also, I’m a sucker for a police officer character named ‘Leo’.
