This is a solid zombie slash-fest, but I feel like too much space was used up having the characters keep blaming themselves (or each other) over and over, for what was happening. That time could have been used to develop the relationships between the characters further, and it wasn't.

This book is just wonderful! It’s cheesy and full of heart, like a good zombie story should be. I really enjoyed its cloaked message about the dangers of diet culture. (Ozempic, watch out. We’re on to you!)

 I think I made a mistake in listening to the audiobook for this one. I love the plot and the idea around this book but I had such a hard time following the characters. It was too many characters that weren't unique enough so I wouldn't realize who I was following. I think that mostly had to do with the audiobook and physically reading this one might have been a better choice. I want to reread it at some point because I truly think I would love it so much more the second time around. By the end I was getting used to the characters. I was enjoying the action and zombies. One day we will see what a reread especially physically might do for this one.

I have been trying to write a review for DAYS now. It is now the 9th and I finished this book on the 4th. So I am just going to make a good/not so good review, though for most it will just be good. Because I really LOVED this book and that is why I just don’t know words any more. Haha.
