An interesting short story that I would love to read more of.

It reads like a fusion between historical fiction and sci-fi, and I love the world building that happens.

I would love to read more sci-fi from Seanan McGuire!

Ok, Seanan McGuire is officially an author I trust. How many authors can establish a whole, rich world, and define several distinct characters that you actually care about within the span of 35 pages?

Not my favorite of Seanan's short stories but it was definitely an interesting concept

Mastodon trainer in a traveling carnival... I'd love to see a full book set in this world.

Weird!

Slow-burning for the first 25 pages or so, then comes alive like an electric current. The last few pages were mesmerizing, however the lead-up to them was wandering and unstructured.
