Probably my least favourite of the pigeon books we've read, but it's still pretty good.

I appreciated this books interactiveness and how it makes sense to children and shows their behavior in a fun and engaging way. I also like it to demonstrate opinion writing.

You've seen him try to drive a bus... you've seen him try to keep a hot dog all to himself... and now, you'll watch the pigeon do his best to convince you that he's not tired and he shouldn't have to go to bed. Mo Willems finds the great humor in classic childhood themes... and while a tired and cranky child is never any fun, the pigeon is just the opposite. The mountain of excuses and stalling techniques are great... though it was around this point in the pigeon series that I realized I might be schooling my godson in clever tactics to avoid doing as he's told. Oh well!

There arguments were really clever! Although there was no real solution...
