lots of action, futuristic dystopian america. government-approved misogyny (here we go again), girl power, rebels, guns, knives, hovercraft, imprisonment and torture, kickass escapes, arsony.
age range is a bit odd. girl hero is survivalist by 11 years old, story goes until her 30's. for a teen novel, the time frme should have been condensed (my opinion). still, excellent.

I know other people like this kind of book. Good characters and strong action in many places. Yet written with a disquieting undercurrent that kept me on the wrong kind of edge until the very last page.
