This was okay for me. The writing wasn't bad, but it did take me a while to get into the story. The whole first meeting was supposed to be cute I guess, but it wasn't for me. I don't think I would be willingly going home with someone who just barged into my apartment and told me he was a cop without at least verifying it first. While Reed and Talia have very HOT chemistry, it was hard buying them as a couple for a long time. By the end of the story I was pulling for them, and I really enjoyed the epilogue. I'm not a huge fan of romantic suspense, and luckily it didn't make up a huge part of the story. I didn't read the first book in this series, but I didn't feel lost. I would recommend if you're looking for a quick read.

Talia is a ballet dancer who has just been bumped up from understudy to lead dancer in Giselle and all she wants is to focus and get a good nights sleep. Reed is a DEA agent who is worried because he hasn't heard from his informant Stacy in 2 days, he decides to go and check on her since she gave him a key to her place. As soon as he opens the door he knows something is off, but he stumbles over a box and lands on top of the sleeping Talia, who flips out, but who wouldn't?
They sort out who is who and the fact that she can't stay in the place she sublet from Stacy as it puts her in danger. She can't call anyone in the middle of the night and because she has no where to go Reed offers to let her stay with him for the night and they'll sort everything out in the morning. But she just winds up staying with him for longer and longer and they don't fight their attraction for very long.
The steam is good with a dash of spice, there isn't a whole lot of focus on their lives outside of the relationship but it isn't a detriment to the story and the characters where emotional opposites, her having all the emotions, him trying to stifle his.

I really enjoyed this book. Talia and Reed were both pretty likeable and I was really rooting for them. They both seemed pretty realistic - they made me happy, mad, frustrated, and more. While it had themes that are frequent in contemporary romance novels I still found it pretty unique. This is the second book in the series but it can definitely be read as a stand-alone. I definitely recommend this book for anyone looking for a quick, fun read!

Guys I found a new series It the Accidental Love series by Rebecca Brooks. This book is great. This is about a DEA agent, Reed Bishop falls into the apartment of ballet dancer Talia in pursuit of a drug informant. It is very cute book. There are some issue with Reed. He was kind of a jerk to Talia but overall I enjoyed this book. It is a must read if you like close proximity romance.

I already read one book by this author – Wrong Bed, Right Roommate (Jessie’s story) – and loved it. It was really funny!

So when I saw this book on NetGalley, I immediately requested it. I was approved so I knew I had to read this book asap.

Rebecca Brooks writes really good. The writing got me hooked since the beginning. At first, I thought it would like the previous book because the first couple lines of the blurb reminded me of it, but then it turned completely different.

Reed was exactly the type of hero I love to read about. Reserved, moody, grumpy. You name it. His heart was broken in the past so he kept walls around his heart, he didn’t want anyone to get close to him.

Talia is his complete opposite. She’s messy, loud, honest.

In this book, opposites really attract. I loved how attentive Reed was. I loved Talia for bringing the best out of Reed and for keeping him on his toes.

It was a perfect read, honestly. 5 stars.

If you’ve read the first book of the series, Wrong Bed, Right Roommate, you’ve met Talia. This is her story. Since her former roommate and best friend moved in with her boyfriend and Talia’s brother she needed a place to live. When one of the fellow dancers she works with needs someone to sublet her apartment on short notice, Talia jumps right for that offer. What she doesn’t expect his a DEA agent to come barging in.

Talia and Reed are complete opposites. She is loud and messy. He is quiet and a grump. Despite being so different they couldn’t be more perfect for each other. I loved their chemistry, their banter. Talia would push all of Reed’s buttons.

This story took turns I didn’t expect, especially from reading the blurb, but I loved every single moment of it. It was funny, it was steamy and it had some drama to it. The characters were well written and the added suspense really made the story stand out.

Overall, this was an enjoyable book. It wasn’t my favorite though due to the couple in the series so far. There is a HEA at the end of the story, so don’t worry. Talia is the reason why I enjoyed the book. She put Reed in his place a couple of times. I will say this that there are some very steamy moments between the characters in the book.

Will, I read the next book in the series? Yes, if Rebecca writes another Accidental Love series, I will read it. I loved meeting some other characters in this book.

Story Rating: 3.5 stars
Steaminess Rating: 4 stars
Standalone or part of series: Part of series, but can be read as a standalone. Different couple for each book.
Do I recommend this book? Yes.
Will I read other books from the author? Yes.
Tropes/Elements: Strangers to Lovers; Opposite’s Attract
Hero: DEA Agent;
Heroine: Ballet Dancer

This is a fun read. I enjoyed the story and characters are also amazing. It starts with a simple misunderstanding and then became so much more. Reed never thought that he'd ever date let alone fall in love again but Talia is the kind of woman he simply can't resist. She sees through his defences and knows the man beneath. She understands him like no one else and she seems to care a great deal about him. His scars run deep and might end up hurting her as well. Can he take a chance and pretend that all is well in his world?
Talia isn't looking for someone special. It wasn't so long ago when she had thought that she already had a special person in her life. That had not ended well. In fact, none of her past relationship ended well. She always attracts the wrong kind of guys until Reed. He is nice and he makes her heart flutter but how much of this is real? Reed doesn't seem interested in anything longterm and she must protect her heart.
It's very well written story, kind of adorable and super romantic. I really enjoyed how Talia and Reed interacted right from the begining. It was so obvious that these two are meant fro each other. I definitely recomment this book to all romance lovers.
I received a complimentary copy of this book via NetGalley.

Overall Opinion:
To be completely honest, I expected this to be a lot better than it actually was. I didn't feel the connection with the characters Talia and Reed and how quickly they fell in love was a joke within itself. With a premise like this, I was ready to be swoon but unfortunately it failed to meet my expectations. Overall it wasn't a bad read, it just could've been a lot better.
