This was a very interesting read. It was not dense, as some books on this topic might be, but instead it was very informative. As my edition was published in 2004, I'd love to see if there were an updated version, since so much has changed regarding consumerism and advertising since then. It was very neat to read about some of the marketing attempts of 1990s-present because I was a member of the target audience for much of that time. My own experiences offered a very unique perspective of this topic. All in all, a very good read; it's very relatable for many readers and is quite interesting!

Depressing about how insidious advertising is. Heavy on the muck-raking, light on proposed solutions.
