I enjoyed this book, but not as much as Blaire's. I didn't connect with Annie and Baron as much, and felt it was a smidge too cheesy when it came to their relationship. That said, I am very very invested in finding out the mysteries surrounding the Wonderfully family and the town of Nightfall. I thought the threads connecting the books was the strongest part of the story.

Freaking Amazing!!!

I absolutely love this series and these characters! Blood Secrets is book two in the witches of nightfall series and while you can read them as stand-alone I highly recommend you start from book one! You won’t be sorry! This is Annie and Barons book, and boy did it start off with a Bang! (Wink) Gah I loved them sooo hard! Annie is finally getting comfortable and finding herself after all she has been through. And she has now after all these years of remaining single and celibate stumbled into a vampire who peaks her interest and makes her body come alive! This is a secret baby romance my favorite trope! Baron has been living for the last 200 years in the swamps in seclusion trying to repent for the sins of his past and the loss of his family all those years ago. These two heal each others in the Sweetest ways possible! The whole gang is back with a few new members and something is amiss in their quiet little town! While this books is buckets full of sexy and sweet it’s also thrilling and exciting! I just can’t get enough of these characters! This was another quick addictive read! I swallowed in one sitting! I’m so excited for Casey’s story next!

I’m not a big paranormal fan but I’m enjoying the books I’ve read from Bella Jacobs! I love the writing and this was the perfect book to break me out of my slump. I loved Baron and Annie and definitely recommend this book.

Dramatic, broody vampire hero? Check.
Secret baby? Check.
Delightfully weird and spooky town? Check.

This is such a fun series! Baron is the grumpy, broody, drama king of my dreams. Add in a secret baby and more appearances from Kitty, the house kraken, and I loved every minute of this!

I do wish we got to see more time with Annie and Baron being a happy couple! The tension and broodiness is my catnip, but I would have liked to see them enjoying being together just a hair more than the very end/epilogue!
