4 Stars. Pretty solid for a 41 year old mystery. Medical thrillers are almost always fun and this one held up well. I’ll give Palmer another shot soon. This story could have fit right in with our current time, it will be interesting to see if Palmer keeps it up.

A medical mystery.
But it felt a little too formulaic.
Oh there is a group of murdering nurses, and we are introduced to a Doctor just getting his life back in order after going deep off the wagon.
How surprising that when he is given a high profile surgeons rounds for a week one of his patients is the target of the nurses.
Oh He's framed
They have the answer but do they go to the cops....no!
Yes I know the not going to the cops gave the book a better end, but most of the drama, and possibly three lives would have been spared if they had.
And because of this a good part of the antagonists, the garden club, which was a subgroup of the Sisterhood, get away with murder.
