I’m not really sure what to rate this, or how to feel about it, but I know it was good. It feels unfinished, which I guess is how it’s meant to feel. Genuinely a really good read, just not what I expected it to be - and that’s okay. I feel like I took more from it BECAUSE it’s not what you expect it to be. It’s much deeper than that, and also much stranger. I’m going to sit on this for a while and mull it over, and I think I’ll probably do a re-read just to try and get my thoughts in order.

Fish Swimming in Dappled Sunlight is like nothing I've ever read before.  It's definitely a psychological something, though I don't think thriller is the right genre.  I don't know. It's very character centric, almost dreamlike with the POVs.

Like other reviews have said, if you like endings that actually end, I don't think this is the story for you.  That was probably my favorite part though.  Thoroughly enjoyed the last 45-50ish pages the most.  That dreamlike quality was at its strongest then.
