Under the veil is a collection of hot and heavy paranormal teasers designed to introduce you to authors,their characters and the worlds they have created and whet your appetite and in most cases make you want more.
There is something for everyone in this Boxset with most supernaturals accounted for. Angels, wolves, magic users, succubi, vampires, dream walkers, reapers and time travellers all make an appearance in this collection of short stories.
I quite enjoyed this Boxset, but as always, the downside with short stories is exactly that, short, and they are quite fast paced and throw you straight in the deepened because of it. But they are also great for getting an idea of an authors writing style and imagination more quickly.
The ones I enjoyed most are and would love to read more were:
Book 4- The Hex by Lucy Leroux
Moira has been discovered as a witch after cursing her ex fiancé when he broke off their engagement. On the run from her ex fiancés family, she is saved by a very unlikely source. Very sweet story.
Book 8 - A Break in the Path by K. C. Stewart
We meet Sadie as she awaits her fate of becoming a wolf or not, staggering home after having too much home made wine. Tyson, a wolf on verge of going rogue, has been watching over her in the guise of Fred the dog until her fate is decided. When he sees her struggling to get home he makes the decision to help her in his human form as her intoxicated state will prevent her remembering. Has he found a reason to stick around and play human for a bit longer.
Book 19 - Yanti's Choice by Rebekah R Ganiere
Yanti is the only eligible female in wolvenglen her adoptive home and all the male vie for attentions. She has a great friend Roal, an unrequited love interest Lash, the alphas King Adrian and Queen Redlynn. All strong characters. When Lash approaches Adrian for a blessing in mating Yanti, Roal is cut to the core and sets out on his own. When Yanti becomes aware of what's happened she sets out after him but is she too late.
