A sweet, funny, story that embraces difference. Also good for potty training. :)

Im obsessed and it’s a new favorite children’s literature of mine. I love the idea of using not only National Unicorn Day, but for a discussion on inclusion and acceptance.

My coworker bought this for her daughter at our school book fair! Super cute! I'm definitely gonna buy this for my nieces. Cute little feel good book.

A silly book on a cow who is a unicorn ... or is he ... or is he!?!
This does have a little bathroom humor.

Reviewed from a library copy.

Super cute book about a small calf that has 1 horn, thus they are a unicorn. Self doubt enters in when they read the description, but after consulting with other unicorns, they discover they ARE a real unicorn. The illustrations and text really work together in this book to make it fun and engaging. The doubt that the calf encounters and the subsequent confirmation of unicorn status by real unicorns teach kids that they can be anything they want to, its just a matter of perspective. Such a fun book.

Little Calf only has one horn and so becomes convinced they are a unicorn. But they are missing a few of the other things unicorns have. Does that matter? I thought this was a very cute, affirming book about trusting who you are. I also love the illustrations all around, especially the "real" unicorns. I also love that said unicorns have no problem accepting Calf as one of them. If only everyone was so magical.
