Honestly I didn't understand most of this book-length poem. I paid particular attention to the somatic quality of poetry, since it's been a while since I seriously read poetry. I also tried to look up and understand the many references and anatomical language.

Some notes from class on the two voices:
  1. Also includes plural person (“we”) (10) and second person (“you”)
  2. Haunting: living and observing experiences
  3. First person is more immediate/personal and the third person seems more like a narrator
  4. Haunting / horror feelings underlie the tense choices
  5. Yasmin talks to someone
