A short not very good story with not very good art with a terrific ending. And usually I overweight endings. The writers in this one tracked how tired and beat down Buffy usually is. But kind of lost track of not being the only slayer. Sure the dream thing had been done, but eventually it was interesting to be back in the past world with the past characters. The ending Buffy, exhausted and beat down, perfectly captured that Buffy. Unless something changes in the next book, I'm not sure this volume fit well into the continuity. 3.5 of 5.

I actually really enjoyed this piece. It steps away from the story to do a quick one-shot that is set back when Buffy is in high-school.
