This was a very interesting read. I am not adopted and none of my peers are, but several close friends have adopted their children. This book provided insights into relationships that I am completely unfamiliar with and unaware of as well as concerns and fears that haven't crossed my mind as an adult child or a parent.

A quiet and contemplative memoir about transracial adoption. I think this may have been better suited as an essay, but I would definitely recommend!
Just finished the audio and recommend it!! What a wonderful story, really looking at the ups and downs of being adopted, finding family, dealing with being Asian in white spaces, making sense of birth family being problematic in some ways.
When this feels a little too neat at times, there are moments of vulnerability that stick with you. Should be read by people touched by adoption and those who support them
A beautiful memoir about the biological daughter of Korean parents, born prematurely in the US and then adopted by a white couple living in very white southern Oregon.
Ms. Chung was born premature and her Korean parents gave her up for adoption. She was adopted by a white couple and raised in a loving home; although as the only Asian in her community, she sometimes felt like an outsider. When Ms. Chung became pregnant, she set out to find her birth family.
