Wow. I really enjoyed this memoir. It's timely, heartfelt, well written and educational! Loved it.
Nicole Chung’s story of adoption, culture, discovery, and decisions is fascinating and sincere.

Beautiful stories of identity and learning to hold multiple truths.
Beautifully written account of adoption, the need to belong, and what “family” entails.
I've loved reading Nicole Chung's writing on transracial adoption at The Toast, and the series she edits over at Catapult over the years. Particularly since reading Kathryn Joyce's "The Child Catchers," I've been looking for more writing and perspectives of adult adoptees.
Chung's story is a specific, personal exploration of family and belonging. While pregnant with her first child, she seeks out information about the birth family she knows next-to-nothing about. "All You Can Ever Know" challenges many of the conventional platitudes about adoption, and explores the complexity of family relationships in various forms: new motherhood, parent relationships with adult children, and reunification.
At the heart of the memoir, is a love story between two sisters who meet as adults. And I absolutely loved seeing their relationship and emotional intimacy develop. Beautifully written.

Adopted by a loving white family in Washington, Nicole, of Korean birth parents, struggles with bullying, racism, unanswered questions about her birth parents, her pregnancy, and the everyday challenges of adulthood. A beautifully written memoir about identity, longing for the unknown, and reconnecting with family.
Intricate story of transracial adoption, parenting, finding birth families and life. Liked the author's journey of emotions in processing finding and choosing family, especially through the lens of becoming a new mother.
Intriguing story of a young woman born to Korean parents and adopted by a white family. Nicole's search for her birth family had some surprising results. Very moving story of family ties and how adoptees navigate this complicated territory.
An incredibly honest and moving memoir. This book has given me so much to think about.
