Probably the saddest book/comic I have ever read. Reading other people's reviews that this book is funny and sweet just sends me into a spiral of confusion. How is drowning puppies, a dog committing suicide because of the said puppies, an abusive father, and a bird that chews off its own wings a barrel of laughs? At least the panels are pretty, even if they are full of dead puppies.

Easily one of the most emotionally effecting comic books I've ever read. It's at least partially autobiographical, but it isn't overly bleak or cheesy. It feels real and I don't think I'll ever forget it.

«Sono una tartaruga. Casa mia è il mio guscio. E tuttavia ho la sensazione che la casa più vera che mai avrò è il punto in cui le nostre strade si sono unite e hanno corso insieme... per un po'.»

I read this twice because it was short and I didn't really like it the first time. The second time I think I appreciated it more, but I still found the way Chunky's neighbor-friend talks really annoying. But in a way it's a sweet story. Totally weird, but sweet and sad.

I thought this was going to just be a cute story with cute animals. I was wrong and have never cried so much at a comic and love story.

lovely graphic novel about friendship and missing loved ones. made me kind of weepy. also made me want to pick up "blankets" again. you'll like it if you liked "robot dreams."
