Lovely read with very minimal plot outside of their relationship. It mostly explores the MCs' kinks and why they developed them. Strong femdom.
It's not profoundly deep or anything, a fun afternoon read, I devoured it in a day.
The steamy bits focus on emotions and the reactions of the reciever more than the physical aspect.
CW: CNC, forced orgasms and BDSM (lots of it, every letter in the abbreviation, more than once)

I’ve read this book as a stand-alone and it was my first book by Roni Loren. Overall I really liked the story. The distribution of the roles was more uncommon as the majority of book don’t depict this dynamic.
I loved Gibson’s progress, how he coped with his past and how he learned to overcome deeply rooted judgmental thoughts against himself. He learned to just be and accept himself in all levels.
At the same time Sam seems to be pretty sure in her role though it’s said she’s new to it. She has a very troubled past herself and bears trauma from her teenage years.
Together Sam and Gibson manage to beat their fears and work as the perfect team they are to build a relationship.
„And the man who’d fought to keep his desires in the dark for so long begged for everything, all under the gleaming sunshine, where there was no place to hide.“
