Pining is 10/10 no notes, but I really had trouble following Jewel's writing style. Also there are things about Banullt's past that are dropped in and seem to be unresolved threads, or something she remembers she needs to pick up again.

This a reread (4th time now?) and was my first foray into historical romance. Carolyn Jewel writes wonderful stories. I love second chance plus the main love interest having to grovel.

This book had way too many half-baked plot ideas and the ending was abrupt. While I enjoyed how in love the MMC was the relationship I didn’t love the characters.
