Psychological narrative about an invasion from Mars. Is it just mental, religious, or real? For some reason I had the impression this was a hilariously imagined comedic effort. It wasn’t funny, it was extremely dated (although I try to figure that into my rating based on the known facts), but honestly it just wasn’t very good. Marginal start to 2022.

I read this a year ago - I wish I had reviewed it then! From what I remember it is delightful and definitely worth reading, but it is bogged down by the "of its time"isms in how it treats women and classes and race. Also the aliens are singularly annoying and would do well to be more funny. Worth it for a good classic sci-fi read.

Back to the golden age of sci-fi with the story of Earth being invaded by Martians, not to destroy but to annoy.  Even after all these decades this is a dated but fun story.

In the middle of reading this one but I'm having a hard time with it. It's funny but it's not going anywhere, consequently it's like pulling teeth tor read. But it is funny, even though it's very dated, and very aimless, and I will finish it.

This isn't the typical alien invasion book. The story is much more concerned with psychology than action. It also includes a healthy dose of Brown's humor. The ending is kind of obnoxious, but in a fun way. The book wasn't what I expected, but I enjoyed it.

Before 'Mars Attacks', there was 'Martians, Go Home!' One of the funniest SciFi's I've read...

Low on action but high on humor, at least at the beginning, Martian invasions have never looked like this. You know how you read a book and you wish someone would make it into a series, or even a movie? The material here might fill a half-hour serial. All in all a nice diversion.
