I only finished this because parts of it were set in New Hampshire -- I disliked everything else about it, especially the main character who was petty and unhinged despite everyone around her who somehow remained so kind to her. Why were people nice to her?! She was so mean!

A fun, light read. I enjoyed getting to know Daphne and living her zany life with her for a little while.

The amount of fat shaming/stigma is incredibly prevalent and hard to ignore - to help emphasize how much to dislike the “villain” was describing her size and the clothes she wore in an incredibly negative tone. The story feels incredibly shallow and without purpose. Plus there must not have been any science fact checking since a child would not be able to have AB blood type if one parent is O type and the other is AB.

Couldn't get into this one. The characters had interesting things happen to them, but the characters weren't interesting, you know?
