I don't entirely know how I'm feeling.
I think it was poignant and well-written, but I found Violet to be frustrating initially. And I don't know if I'm satisfied with the ending. That said, I greatly appreciate the sentiments expressed and the very relevant themes that, as a 30 year old woman, I can relate to. Bearing this all in mind is how I came to my decision.
If you're in a reading rut or just really enjoy that kind of slice-of-life entertainment, like myself, I would recommend this.

This was a quick pick-me-up book. It was a nice reminder that fairytales can and do exist. I do see development into a longer novel, and I’m hopeful there is one. In just a few short pages, there was quite a bit of character development, which I thoroughly enjoyed. It only got 4 stars because I prefer first person point-of-views and this was in third person.

This was a cute, short story about the meaning of this family’s unconditional love. Even through heartbreaking times.
