This Blaze collection novella was okay. She was very ambitious and that was all that mattered to her.

So far, my favorite in the series. Well written. Very real. Interesting. More on topic of the theme of this collection than some of the others. Perhaps my favorite piece was the Author's Note at the end, it was inspiring to find that this story was based on a real woman, a real life, a real trail blazer. I'm excited to read some of the books by this author!

Abby Taylor is a woman trying to succeed in a man's world. She writes serial stories for the radio and is now trying to make the move to television. In order to prove she can do it, she must make the first move. Along with this, she is raising a rambunctious son and caring for her sisters. Abby changes the world one decision at a time.

This book shows all that women had to go through to be successful after World War II. This story was far too short for my liking; and I would have loved a fuller story that details Abby's background and how she moves forward in television. This short story gave a better understanding of what Abby had to do and all she gave up in order to lead the life she dreamed of.
