I thought I would enjoy this more than i did. I liked the main character - but found the plot went all over the place. Also found the stalkiness of the sisters ex a bit creepy and not well dealt with by anyone...
Might give the next book in the series a go to see if it improves.

I read a couple of Anthea Fraser books of the David Webb series. I have really liked the beginning of that series. This one just did not grab me and the dialogue was awful. It was as bad as "I think I will have lunch." "Sounds good, what should we have?" "Oh I don't know what do you think." Honestly, terrible. I did not like some of the characters either, which does not necessarily make for a bad read but this time it just did not work for me. I did not like that the stalker ex-husband had a mildly heroic role in the end. Anyway, I think I will finish the David Webb series and skip this one.

Not sure sure how this showed up on my kindle. A quick, light read. Interesting idea (biographer solving mystery), but ultimately formulaic.
