Update Post-Light Bringer: Rounding down because I just can’t have Iron Gold and Light Bringer both have the same rating.

3.5⭐️; rounded up because I love the original trilogy, and I am hopeful that the extended exposition feel of this “first” book (in the 2nd part of the series) leads to a more satisfying continuation of the overall storyline.

Iron Gold was such a slog for me. I did like the Darrow’s chapters. The other chapters didn’t really get interesting to me until the last third of the book. It’s a 3.5 ⭐️ book for me. I’m hoping the next book is better.

4.5 for me. This was a little different to get used to the multiple plot lines but I liked the way it came together or didn't? All in all, a super strong book for being the fourth in a series.
