Now I can see where the Walter the Farting Dog author got their ideas from: smelly dogs who save the day are funny.

I'm living in the world of Hally Tosis right now. My dog's breath could make burglars pass out too. ;)

This was one of my favorite books as a kid. But, I read it to my nephew just last week and he didn't catch ANY of the clever word play and thought it was stupid. Perhaps he's not old enough, but I'll definitely keep sharing this one!

This book would be so much fun to teach with. The author plays with words and there is so much figurative language. It also is fun too play with prediction, his figurative language leads to some great visual clues to what is happening. I loved this book.!

A funny little children's book, even with all of the horrible puns. Great illustrations.

I swear this book was written about my dog Dali. A dog with breath so bad it can put burglars to sleep. As always Dav is on point with his word usage and illustrations.

From the author of Dog Man and Captain Underpants, fans of these books will also like this picture book! Hally the dog has really bad breath and it's become a big problem. Her owners try different ways to get rid of it (somehow never thinking to brush her teeth...), but it just won't go away. They need a miracle to save Hally from being put up for adoption. Read on to see how Hally saves the day and becomes famous!
