My second attempt to read this series, because I loved Into the Spider-Verse and I love Gwen. But I had exactly the same problem as when I read the introductory volume in 2016: to me, this title is sloppy, childishly plotted and confusingly drawn, and just silly in a way that reminds me of '90s comics. I wouldn't put up with it from a male-led series, and I can't persist with it in this case, not even for Gwen.

this one was way better than volume 0. first, the art is just stunning. there were several panels i found particularly beautiful. i enjoyed the conversation between gwen and jessica as well. it's nice to see their dynamic since i have yet to read more comic books of them. however, i hope we move on from the whole "spider-gwen is public enemy #1" and "lizard peter" cause i feel like two volumes about that is more than enough, and i'm sure there is much more to see about gwen and her story.
overall, a pretty solid volume. i'm excited to read more.

Good fun and a quick read. I enjoy Gwen more than most people, I guess.

I enjoyed this one way more than the Miles Morales comic I just read. It actually had a full story line, which I appreciated. It was kinda confusing at times with all the spider verse stuff going on, but Gwen Stacy makes up for that.

This was great! I really enjoyed how this had a more cohesive and complete plot line running through thus, whereas vol. 0 was an introduction to Spider-Gwen. There were two issues in this that I didn't feel were completely necessary to the story. I can see where they were incredibly important for character depth, but they did feel a bit stuffed in.
Slight spoilers about the main cameo of this volume, so if you don't want to know who it was, just know that I felt it wasn't explained very well.I really enjoyed that Earth-65's Captain America is actually Sam(antha) Wilson. And I'm never going to be the one to complain about "too many female superheroes" because that's not a thing that exists. However, I don't think she was introduced well. To the extent of my knowledge (and wikia's knowledge, this is our first intro to this Cap. I was very confused as to her origin story and why and how Peggy Carter is still alive and kicking. There were max two pages explaining an entire origin story that completely threw me for the rest of the volume. I did enjoy many of the other cameos that we get in this (i.e. Matt and Jess, who is from Earth-616 (don't quote me on that number))
Overall, this was super fun, and I really enjoyed the villain in this and their arc throughout the volume. I'm excited that this is a series that is continuing, and I'm pumped to pick up the next volume.

Good! I liked the focus on who's responsible (and who feels responsible) for Peter's death.
Gwen's generally likeable, I thought.
The unexpected bonus Spider-Woman scene was quite funny.
