The writing was beautiful. I loved strong-ass ladies subverting the expectations of others. Mina and Lynet both had such strong voices and I loved their relationship. I'm all for subverting the evil stepmother trope and how smoothly Bashardoust did it. Also (spoiler?) a queer princess??? Yes please! Lynet and Nadia's interactions were lovely.

Over all, I really loved this story and I highly recommend pairing the audiobook with it!

An interesting retelling of Snow White. Mina, the stepmother, was the more fascinating of the two main characters. Enjoyable read.

This was the best kind of painful. Mia and Lynet's mother-daughter relationship was lovely.

This was (almost) everything I could have wanted in a retelling. I received an ecopy of this book through Netgalley; however, my opinions are my own.
