I'm WWIIed out, and didn't expect to love this book, but hot damn! This was a wonderful story. And Netflix should be ashamed of themselves for what they did to it.

This book has been getting a lot of hype and just this once I feel like the hype is deserved. Very well written with beautiful details that rarely felt excessive. I enjoyed the rotating narrators and was quickly captivated by the story. It took me a long time to read but it was worth the time.

I’m behind on getting to this one but it’s stunning and heart wrenching and heartwarming and horrifying and full of hope. Brilliant.
