I've enjoyed this series much more than I thought I would--however, this volume strayed a bit from my expectations. It was TOO SHORT! The investigation Kiyoka is sent off to the family villa for is too short! I'm not being hyperbolic. What I mean is the meat of the story comes and goes and I was left feeling a little shorthanded at the end. Will I continue reading? Yes, because I must see Miyo and Kiyoka's happy marriage...but I'm hoping that the action of the next volume doesn't feel as stunted as it was in this one.

My favorite book from the series so far. It's so nice to see how much Miyo has improved, as well as how cute her and Kiyoka's relationship is.

Fuyu is such an abhorrent woman!!!
But besides her horrible behaviour towards Miyo, and even her husband and son, the story continues in an even more interesting manner. Miyo and Kiyoka are adorable as always BUT I WANT TO HIT THEM ON THE HEADS TO JUST REALISE AND CONFESS ALREADY! But I must admit I find it interesting that Miyo so far had felt grateful and honoured more than in love, and now her feelings are shifting 💛
The Gifted Communion subplot was really interesting so I'm looking forward to see where it'll go next, especially with that ending!
