I loved the first book [b:Equilibrium|11449605|Equilibrium (Equilibrium, #1)|Meredith Shayne|http://d.gr-assets.com/books/1349030290s/11449605.jpg|16383507] so was slightly disappointed in the second book of the series. This had nothing to do with the actual story or the characters but rather a feeling that I was reading a brief epilogue rather than a fuller story. I was expecting a more significant story with some drama. This book was more a short and sweet conclusion to the story of Michael and Ryan, making the HFN more definite.

An epilogue to Equilibrium really as it is set only a few weeks from the end of book 1 and ties up a few hanging story plots. Probably not one to read as a standalone on that basis. I read it straight after finishing Equilibrium and it rounded that book off nicely.
Ryan and Michael are still the main characters but we see all the bit part actors from Equilibrium and it gives a nice as happy ending as two gay guys can get whilst living in the depths of the Aussie country.
