Absolutely lovely, what a great read! I really enjoyed this & it was the perfect season to read it in. Definitely set the spooky mood for Halloween.

 As I am new to the fantasy genre and, in my opinion, tipping my toes into that genre, you need to do it the easier way. For me, it is reading middle-grade fantasy books. The author, V.E. Schwab, takes the readers on a thrilling journey that delves into the world of the unknown. In City of Ghosts, Cassidy Blake, a spirited young heroine, embarks on a dangerous quest to send ghosts beyond the Veil, navigating Edinburgh's dark and mysterious streets alongside her ghostly best friend, Jacob. With its mystery, adventure, and supernatural thrills, this book will captivate your imagination and leave you on the edge of your seat.

This book was cute but for some reason I had the hardest time getting through it. It was so short but I found my mind really wandering as I read. I may give the second in the series a try and see if it holds my attention a little better.
