5 stars for the fond memories of reading this in year 8 English with my friends and absolutely berating it.

Storyline

This book isn't a story, but it shows letters from Cathy's readers to Cathy Cassidy asking for her help and advice for situations their in. This book shows from easing up your confidence step by step to just being happy. There is nothing that Cathy hasn't been asked, and if you think of something she hasn't been asked, it's probably not worth knowing.

Comment

Letter's to Cathy is a great book, and it has filled my head with positive tips, warnings on what might happen in the future and how to deal with growing up and becoming a woman.

Rating

I rated this book five stars because it gives so many tips and hints and there is simply NOTHING wrong with it. It is a book that will help you through hard times, and Cathy has even added in a few links in each chapter to help you on what the chapter is about. For example, if the chapter is about getting over someone who has died, there will be some links at the end of the chapter to help you get over that person.

Pictures

There were only a few pictures in the book, but it wasn't a story book, so there wasn't really anything to imagine so I didn't mind.

Age Group

I would suggest this book to any age, only I would suggest that children under seven shouldn't be left to read this book alone, as they might come across some things that aren't appropriate and the parents aren't ready to tell them yet (I would also suggest that if you are a parent and brave enough to let your child under seven to read this book unsupervised, you should tell them firmly to keep away from the Growing Up section).

Suggestions to the Author

I have no suggestions to the author but to keep up the good work and carry on writing, as I wouldn't know what I would do if she stopped too soon! This book has made MY confidence better, which is strange, because no matter how many times people try to tell me everything is going to be okay, I keep worrying about the situation.
