School - Very fun book ~ Kindergartener having to teach mom how to follow the rules. Great book to share with children about to start or just having started school.

I really enjoyed reading this book. I thought it was quite funny. Hilariously encouraging! The takeaway...kids have the ability to teach just as much as they have the ability to learn.

In the story, The Day My Mom Came to Kindergarten, mom is invited to spend the day with her little girl at school. As the daily schedule is followed, readers are afforded an opportunity to see the right and the wrong way to do things in the kindergarten class. The shoe was indeed on the other foot where the mom and the child were concerned. Mom chose the wrong way to go about doing things, while the child opted for the right way to do things. You name it and mom did it. Her lovingly patient daughter, however, was right there to offer a steady hand...and a covered head.

I loved how the little girl had to teach mom the classroom rules. I think the most humorous thing for me was watching mom's antics. She was fully committed to her role. This was truly a delightfully rich book. This one is going on my shelf.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. I was not required to give a positive review. The words I have expressed are my own.

A great read aloud for the first few weeks of Kindergarten. It is amusing and also reinforces classroom expectations and explains why they're important.
