If you told me the fourth book of a space opera series will make you cry a few times, I definitely would have bet against you.

When I read that this was basically a retelling of The Last Colony, but from Zoe’s POV, I didn’t expect much, AND I expected a lot of obvious repetition.

Well, well, well it turns out I loved seeing the other side of major parts of the storyline. The werewolves! Hickory and Dickory! (I truly enjoyed getting to know them better.) The Obin! ❤️

This series has been just so much fun!

Great book. My brother recommended this book to me and I was pleasantly surprised. I was a little turned off by the cover (to me it looks like some historical fiction about WW2)But I was immediately pulled in by the voice the emanates throughout the entire book. Zoe is an entirely rateable and believable character. She had a strong voice and a strong mind throughout the book. Though she has a boyfriend the relationship is not

I don’t understand why they tried to reboot this series as a YA book.

Whilst the ending is good and the extra depth is welcome as a fan of the universe, I really struggled to finish this one. Repeating the story of the previous book is a hard sell and the first half of the book wasn't new enough for me
