Note: I am only leaving a review for Unexplored by Anna Hackett. I received a free copy of that story for review purposes.
In Unexplored, Sydney Granger hires Treasure Hunter Security to save her brother (who’s exploring Peru) from criminal looter syndicate Silk Road. One of the security men, Logan O’Connor, catches her attention, and the attraction is mutual. While searching for her brother, they get involved with each other to each other despite being from very different backgrounds.
Sydney’s pretty cool, and Logan’s, well, what it says as the title of the box. If you like your heroes action-oriented and large with training and tatts, he’s your man.
If you’ve read Uncharted and Undiscovered, this story isn’t really anything new. It follows similar macho heroes, the same group of greedy villains, and heroines with a bit of pluck. Every so often, two men with guns burst through the door. There’s even the same similar end showdown. I won’t spoil it, but if you’ve read the first two books, I can’t say this book offers anything different. Good adventure brain candy, and if you’re unfamiliar with the author, it’s a great introduction to her work.

I received this as an ARC for an honest review. I found Rescuing her Seal a little slow paced. It was a short story that seemed to be missing parts in the middle. I did like how it ended though. For the most part I did enjoy the characters and the book.

Unexplored by Anna Hackett

OMG McGrumpypants falls in love!! I love this new series and seeing these rough and ready men and women fall in love. Think Indiana Jones meets Romancing the stone - action/adventure with a slice of hot romance and snarky humour. The camaraderie between the team is very believable and I love the fast pace. Logan is alpha male to the core but hides a soft(ish) centre (well hidden by all that grump!!! Sydney has aced the whole icy CEO persona to cover the fact that she doesn't even want the job but feels obligated to carry on the family business.

Sid's brother really turns a corner from the perceived naive, nerdy history buff to grapple with the Silk Road in his own nerdy way. A great way to learn some history whilst you float along in the adventure thrills and spills. These books just get better and better!!

The Protector of Ambra

Melody and Pierce's foray into the Jungle in search of Chocolate Fraudsters and Olmec Pottery! Pierce is a Doctor but also a man of action. Melody is a chocolatier with a penchant for Fair Trade. Mix together an illicit side trip from HQ with a misguided, naive attempt to track down a shady supplier and its a rollicking good tale!! Pierce may have been privileged but he wants to get his hands dirty! Meldoy was just so helplessly out of her depths, she was a total jink to herself!!!

Ultimate Engagement by Lydia Rowan

Adam and Sloan work at Silver Industries. Sloan may be the office monkey but she is the glue that holds the team together. But when she met Adam she was so nervous she came across as a bit of an ice maiden so he has treated her with a lot of disdain since then. He hates that she gets under his skin!

I dare you not to love Sloan during her dorky moments! Adam was adorably put out when he had to go undercover with the infuriating woman he secretly hankered after!!

This review is for Ultimate Engagement ~ Lydia Rowan

I was provided an ARC for an honest review and this is how I see it.

Adam Reins and Sloan Wakefield are employed by Silver Industries, both who are attracted to one another but neither has shown or given an indication. A mission come up and requires that Adam attend a couples retreat. Seth and Adam are brainstorming, when Seth come up with an idea and calls Sloan into the room. Adam is against bringing Sloan along, one because of his feelings for her and two because it could be dangerous.

After being in each others company and in close proximity of each other Adam and Sloan give over into their feelings for each other. Both not wanting to read much into what has happened between them. As Adam continues to investigate the resort, he and Sloan grow closer and Sloan doesn't want to read more into what is happening between them. As things come to close Adam lets Sloan know that he does not want them to end.

This is a good fast paced read with an HEA.
