I had never heard of Esther Peterson before my grandmother gave me this book. What an inspiring woman! Working tireless for most of her life on behalf of the laborers and the consumers of the world, Peterson embodied everything that is missing from modern politics. She was humble, loyal, dedicated to the people, and kind. The only thing that I found myself disagreeing with her with is her opposition to the ERA, which she had a complicated reason for opposing. I liked her straightforward narration of her life, she reminded me so much of my grandma. Peterson doesn't meander or deviate in the telling of her story, and it makes for a fast-paced narration that makes the title "Restless" apt.
