Such a well-researched and honest telling of how trauma affects people. Foo moves between telling her story and sharing the science with ease and in a way that always feels compelling. Definitely check content notes on this one but I highly recommend.

Listened to audiobook read by author. Loved the recordings with her therapist. For that alone, I think it’s absolutely worth listening to the audio version. This was, however, a really long and intense book to listen to. It took me awhile to get through and I took a significant break halfway through. Awesome memoir, very educational, and you can tell she’s amazing at radio.
