I don’t understand why people don’t love this book. Decisions have consequences and such a big impact on our lives. This was an important reminder.

I personally was not a fan of this book at all!
I started this book with high enough expectations as i have read One True Loves by the same author and i found it good. This book however just seemed to get progressively worse. I did not like the two different story line thing it has going on one bit. And the blurb is somewhat misleading, i was expecting a definite answer in the end, which this book did not give me. I just wanted to DNF it the entire time.

Barely 2/5 Stars

‘Maybe in Another Life’ was alright, but I almost expected more from Taylor Jenkins Reid. This wasn’t as good as the Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo or Malibu Rising. I didn’t really have that strong of a connection to the characters. I didn’t like or dislike Hannah or Gabby. I liked Henry some, but I didn’t have a deep connection to him at all. Ethan, I feel like I hardly knew, and often times, I didn’t like him. I feel like Ethan was such a boring, 2-D character. The pacing and ideas were good, but the story could have been executed differently/better.

Have never loved TJR writing but sometimes the story makes up for it. Not in this case. Impossible to have any feelings towards a main character when their single personality trait is liking cinnamon rolls.
