This book is exactly what it says it is. It’s a little outdated (can’t imagine printing off paper agendas), but lots of good common sense tips for new consultants.

I wish I could get every new employee at my firm to read this book. It encompasses so many lessons I’ve tried to convey to our recent college grads, and does it with small (fictitious) case studies to make the lessons easier to understand.
This isn’t about consulting skills like influencing, facilitation, or negotiation. This is about professional expectations in a consulting career, and how to be successful for the long term.
