This book ended much better than it started. I liked the fact that she had his and her versions in the same book. It was really good and I liked how it ended. This is definitely one I will suggest to my friends with whom I share reading tastes.

I really started to lose interest in the book. I thin the drama and scenarios have all started to become the same and nothing is surprising me or keeping me glued to the pages. I also started disengaging with the characters and couldn't get back to enjoying their dialogue.

Gurl - when he put those ropes on her, I was clutching for my nonexistent pearls for at least 20 pages!!! Loved this book and I will admit that I read the epilogue first because I had a strong feeling I knew how it was going to end. Usually, I don’t like it when the couple gets married and has children - but this story is WAY different and considering the passion, love and most important trust Nathaniel & Abby have for each other, there was no other way for the story to end!

Another thing I loved about this series was the lack of unnecessary drama! Like - the drama was how they found a way to love and trust each other. Even Melanie was rooting for them and she was the dissed and dismissed ex from a vanilla relationship!

The ending was great and definitely left me wanting more of Nathaniel and Abby!

I am going to bow out gracefully from this series. I just can't do it anymore. I can't with Nathaniel and Abby's inner dialogue.

Nathaniel is supposed to be a 34 year old man that has been a dom for 10 years. He's one of the top 20 richest people. He comes across as insecure, especially in the dom role. I mean that's the one place he should be confident. Right off the bat he's questioning if he can be both a dom and a lover. Seriously, I almost shut the book right then. And it just got worse from there. 'Oh no, I'm a bad dom. I have someone to talk to but poor Abby has no one. Oh whatever am I going to do?' Oh that's right, he's going to call Paul.

Then you have Abby who can't answer questions because she doesn't want to disappoint her master. It was so over the top in some spots and just so completely unrealistic as well. Then this whole we don't know how to just live and be people. I needed them to figure out how to adult sooner in this series.

Not to mention, these books are really expensive for an e-book. Thankfully, I was able to get these three through my library app, but there is absolutely no way I will pay $9.99 for any future books. If I had hope that Nathaniel would put his big boy pants and actually act like a dom, maybe. But after three books he still hasn't figured it out, I'm good. I'll pass on this one.

my review of The Submissive is more detailed
This one was just as fun to read as the first two in the trilogy. We're comfortable to Abby and Nathaniel. It's sensual, yet there's something pure about it. It explores their trust and the relationship they've managed to build together through trials and tribulations. It's the beautiful, romantic side in a D/S relationship. Something that books rarely explore.

this is my review for The Submissive:
I was recommended this series, and again made the decision to read at least the first one to give it a try. Very quickly I needed more. If you're looking for the perfect D/S relationship book, THIS is the one to dive into! Toss your Fifty Shades and Replace it with Submissive. It's got the D/S hook, it's smutty, it's cheesy, it's instalove, it's complicated, it's fun. When you want to read a D/S book because you're interested in how things could be in the community or because you're in the community, this is the way to go. It has an equal amount of instalove, D/S, and romance. A sweet balance of sweet and spicy. But if you're going to start this one, be prepared to read more of the series.

this is my review for The Dominant:
As a second book in a series rarely does, The Dominant keeps up with The Submissive. Which is surprising, since they're essentially the same story. And although I liked being in Abigail's thoughts, I enjoyed being in Nathaniel's head space even more.

9/10 Romance
<10/10 Series

The hardest thing to believe about this book was that the protags couldn't find the time to continue their dom/sub relationship as parents. Even non-billionaires know how to hire a babysitter, but these two couldn't figure it out. And the non-sexual dom/sub stuff still didn't work for me.
