Charlie Fox is one of my favourite modern literary heroines and gets an extra star for being so, but here she just didn't feel like Charlie to me. The vulnerable figure who infiltrates a cult but starts going native was a million miles away and the whole time I wanted to tell her to get over it and start kicking butt.
