4 stars for a purely good story. Sad on a personal level bc this book is about a girl who sold her soul to become a god but that wasn’t ✨good enough✨

I enjoyed the premise for this book a lot. Could it have been executed better? Yes. However, it was an interesting story.
Some chapters dragged on and felt like filler. I’m not a huge fan of the jumping back and forth in the timeline constantly. I do like how the sections started off with a description of an art piece that was inspired by Addie Larue and her seven star spread of freckles. It really tied the ending together. I wish there were more chapters with details of Luc and Addie’s relationship. It felt like their “romance” was just rushed together as an afterthought. It would have been very cool to hear more about Addie’s time spent in different time periods or historical events.
