Selene is a young witch who doesn't have any memories due to her powers. When she goes on a magical quest she discovers Memnon the Cursed and awakens him from his tomb. After awakening him, he believes that Selene is his queen who betrayed him.

I could not put this book down once I started reading this. There was erotic scenes, a sense of adventure, thrilling events, and twists that I've never expected to occur. If you wish to read another erotic fantasy from Thalassa, then this one is for you.

I struggled through the first 20% probably because fantasy set in our modern world isn’t my favorite. But then I couldn’t put the book down. Was it amazing perfection? Not for me, but my god it was fun. So fun I ended up staying up past midnight to finish it. I’m also a sucker for a past life plot line. And those dreams Selene was having certainly kept me interested. I will definitely pick up the next book but I am not sure if I can forgive memnon.

I decided to give Laura Thalassa another chance when I requested this(I loved The Bargainer series, but bailed Pestilence). Unfortunately, while I enjoyed the writing and found it intriguing, I didn't like how Memnon treated her. I get he was betrayed by his wife, who he thinks is fmc, but I still thought if they were soulmates and he loved her as much as he said he'd be a bit nicer, especially since even if she's who he thinks she is she has memory loss(cost of using her magic). We definitely got moments of nice, but there were definitely moments of him being a dick to negate the nice. Thank you to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Bloom Books for an earc of this!
