This book is really suspenseful and scary. It is done in such an amazing way building the suspense and having foreshadowing. I originally read this in my creative writing class when we had to read a book and then share it with the class talking about literary devices. I'm currently rereading some of my favorite books that I enjoyed in high school, and I really forgot how much this book can get your heart racing. Absolutely love this book!

Quick and easy read about a woman who overhears a murder plot and frantically tries to stop it from happening. Really good for teaching tension. It's easy to spot the conclusion of the plot pretty early, so it's also a good tool for teaching foreshadowing.

Oh, and it's a play (or rather, a script from an old radio show), which students always seem to enjoy.
