The Stone Barrington series is alway mindless fun, but this ranked higher than the first 4 in soap opera tropes, wasn't my favorite.

The story was hard to follow, and just unrealistic over all. There was a lot of dialogue that helped move the story along and the chapters were short which was nice.

I had a really fun time reading this one but there were definitely parts in this one that were very coincidencidental or just flat out didn't make much sense.
I liked how Stuart Woods tried putting hints about Paul Manning's new name through the book the characters read but the way Stone connects it and the name in the hotel listing AFTER going through it is just kinda stupid.
Overall, it was a good time but nothing too special even in this series.

There were several "false" endings in this one but overall it was okay. It wasn't one of my favorites.

I liked this installment in the Stone Barrington series. It was fast paced, and we got some answers about characters in previous books.

I don't really know why I enjoy these books so much -- I just find them a guilty pleasure I guess. I like that they are quick reads also.

I like Stone Barrington because he is self indulgent, yet sometimes naive, and still nice. I guess I wish I could be so self indulgent in my life right now, so I live vicariously a bit.

I found it to be a perfectly easy poolside read which is just what you want for the start of the summer. But, I must admit, the Stone Barrington books are getting predictable. Stone gets called to a case, Dino has to come help, they enjoy luxury and women and then there is a major shoot out where Dino saves Stone. It's easy summer reading but don't expect anything shocking or new from this one.

Enjoyed as always. The earlier Barrington books seem to have more mystery and more in depth bedroom romance than the current ones.
