Fyodor Dostoevsky has always been influential. His writing style and choice of words work really well for me. It is true that his lengthy novels are his finest pieces, unquestionably, though his short stories hold a unique charm, too, which creates serene captivation somewhere in the abyss of dark psychological patterns we possess.
The Meek One is a dilemma for me. It leaves questions for the readers eventually. The sight Dostoevsky painted has a stretch of knowing and unknowing the statements one makes—a paradigm that shows its depth through silence and void, though once it speaks, it gets tumultuous for the hearers.
Fyodor Dostoevsky is a must read author.
