Now I love this series but please please read the Content Warnings before going in. It deals with very dark, disturbing subject matter. There is Fantasy Racism (between Humans and Ghouls), Sexual Violence, Transphobia and Gender Dysphoria, and much more. So again, please check more of the Content Warnings and make the decision to read or skip it.
As I said, I love this series. It was difficult for me to read at points because of its disturbing content. I took a lot of breaks reading it and kept coming back when I felt I was prepared to read whatever disturbing thing was coming my way next. And yes it is one of my favourite Manga series. It is a perfect sequel to Tokyo Ghoul (which you should read first before coming to this one). The character development of the entire cast is phenomenal, Sui Ishida’s artwork is as great as ever—I will say the one thing I wasn’t sure about was the time skips but they all fit in with the pacing so they aren’t a problem for me.
I highly recommend this if you loved Tokyo Ghoul and want to see how the story ends.
