Wonderful book exploring the BBC Sherlock. Lots of insight from Steven Moffat, Mark Gatiss and Sue Vertue that add flavor to little aspects of the show.

super interesting and teaches you a lot about the process of creating a show as well as the story itself!

This was thoroughly enjoyable. This book describes the making of the BBC series Sherlock from Season 1 through 3. It includes photographs of the locations used in filming, sets, props, the actors and concept art. It also includes parts of some the scripts before they were changed. It was quite interesting reading about all the work that goes into making a single episode of Sherlock. If you're a fan of Sherlock, I suggest reading this book; it gives you a look at the creative process.

Surprisingly for a book about a tv show I’ve enjoyed this fell really flat for me. While the behind the scenes pictures, origin stories and screen grabs from the actual show were delightful, especially the graphics and art department creations and props, the excessive inclusion of segments from the books, equally excessive inclusion of often asinine deleted scenes, frequent repetitions, long, drawn out descriptions of visuals and nearly everything as well as the tone of the whole thing just dragged this out. It was often boring at best and mildly offensive and self-congratulating at worst. Never mind the lack of cohesion narratively. Sadly a disappointment.

basically a book full of interviews, really nicely talks about all the many people that make a show happen + great photography (useful references)
