This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free for a Blog Tour in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.I’m not a massive country fan but when I read the blurb I just couldn’t wait to dive in.

Honor is such a sweet girl. She has been through so much in her life and is so scarred. I thought she was strong and extremely brave.

Jared is hot, very hot. He’s a bit of a trouble maker but he has a good heart. In his world everything is black and white. He has morals and he doesn’t stand for a woman being disrespected and if he sees it he has to put it right but sometimes he’s a bit of a hot head.

Mia is a really good friend. She’s there for Honor whenever she needed her. I thought she was a really down to earth girl with a good heart.

I absolutely loved the ending of this book. I thought it was so sweet.

Thanks to netgalley for the chance to read this book.

When Honor a country musician decides to return to the music scene following a knife attack 10 years previously she meets Jared a fellow musician. They quickly fall in love but is Jared all what he seems to be.

Really enjoyed this book, again another great book from Mandy.

Can’t wait for her next one.

An enjoyable romance set in Nashville, full of Country music.
Honour was a music sensation until she was attacked on stage and retreated away from the limelight, but then Jed hears her sing and draws her back in.
I love country music and this felt like an episode of TV show Nashville, full of drama and romance. Honours character was lovely and Jed was troubled but sexy, a fine MMC.

I like Ms Baggot's books and this one was no exceptions.
It's an engrossing and entertaining story with an unusual setting which is vividly described. I once visited Nashville and was happy to the back there via this story.
The characters are well thought and the plot flows.
Recommended.
Many thanks to Aria and Netgalley for this ARC, all opinions are mine.

Mandy, what the fuck?

Leaving aside the fact that the lead character yells and kicks walls and we're supposed to find that hot, the part during which I started to doubt this book came fairly early on when it was mentioned in passing that his album cover had the Confederate Flag on it. Excuse me?

I then search the book to discover this sentence:

"Running her hands over his broad shoulders, she stopped to trace a finger around the tattoo of the Confederate flag on his upper arm."

I mean - did she reach up and remove his white hood, too?

idk what this is supposed to be but I don't want to read a white supremacist romance. And honestly this has completely turned me off reading Mandy's books in the future. The way she spoke about the facial scarring also didn't sit well with me.

I got this as an arc via Netgalley but as I said I won't be requesting any more from her.

Honor Blackwood was an up-and-coming country star until a deranged man attacked her with a knife on stage. Now she's a recluse, working in a music store and avoiding anything to do with Nashville and country music.

Jared Marshall is the latest bad-boy rock/country fusion sensation about to start a national tour. After hearing one of Honor's songs he's determined to do whatever it takes to get this woman back into the recording studio and accompanying him on tour.

But Honor and Jared both have secrets in their pasts, secrets that come between them, can love overcome?

This was okay. I felt that Jared was borderline that boyfriend that overreacts and starts a fight for no reason just because some innocent bystander looks at his girlfriend or talks to her. I also didn't like the way that Jared felt his actions were justified, whaling on someone just because he grabbed her arm - his own kind of frontier justice as if he was a character on Sons of Anarchy.

I received a free copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley in return for an honest review.

I enjoyed this book, initially I thought this was going to be a guaranteed five star read. However, for me the last part of the book was a little OTT so this is one I would give four stars to.
Lovely storyline and likeable characters.
